Source register

Every source behind this site, in one table. A source appears here before it can be relied on anywhere else, and each entry carries the class, the binding status and the cadence at which it is rechecked.

The register currently holds 59 entries. Links are to the issuer wherever an official text exists, and to a recognised public repository where it does not. Licensed contract and standards texts are linked to their publisher, never reproduced.

How to read the binding status column

Binding status is the answer to one question: could a tribunal be obliged to follow this? Legislation and procedural rules in their own jurisdiction can be. Judgments can be, within their hierarchy. Standard-form text binds only where it is incorporated into the contract. Technical guidance and commentary never bind, however widely they are used, and this site labels them accordingly wherever they appear.

General explanation of how contract mechanisms, analysis methods and legal principles generally work. It is not legal or contractual advice, not an opinion on any project, and no standard-form contract wording is reproduced anywhere on this site. Standard forms are routinely amended, so every default described here, including every time period, can be different on your project. Your executed contract, as amended, and the governing law and forum always control. Deadlines may already be running: if an event has occurred, preserve your position and take qualified advice.
