JCT, NEC, FIDIC, AIA, ConsensusDocs and AS 4000 texts are the copyright of their publishers. No clause wording is reproduced anywhere on this site. Where a mechanism is described, it is described in our own words, and the executed contract as amended always controls.
Standards and guidance
The SCL Protocol, AACE recommended practices, ASCE standards, RICS material and CIOB guidance are referenced by title and status. Licensed texts are not reproduced, and this site does not present any of them as law.
Privacy
This is a static publication. There are no accounts, no logins and no gated downloads, and the site does not ask for personal data to read anything. If you email us, we hold that correspondence to answer it. Standard server logs are kept by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
Limitations to assume
- No page has yet been signed off by an independent lawyer or external expert.
- Case names are given for orientation unless a full case note is published.
- Jurisdiction pages summarise large subjects and cannot cover every exception.
- Standard forms are described in their unamended shape, which is almost never the shape of a real contract.
